New Transnational Working Group for ASLB Pilots – An Important Step Forward

Dear ASLB Colleagues,

We are writing to share important developments concerning our pilot community, particularly those based at Liege (LGG) and Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airports. A new transnational BeCA-SNPL working group has been established, representing a significant step in enhancing the collaboration and dialogue among the ASLB pilot community, both in Belgium and across borders.

Participants in the Working Group: The working group is composed of delegates from the unions: CNE, CGSLB, and hopefully soon, SETCA. We are also collaborating closely with the SNPL, the French Pilot Union, in France. BeCA will serve as the coordinator and facilitator of this group, ensuring a smooth and effective collaboration. The common BeCA-SNPL European structure, ECA, will assist in smooth coordination.

Objectives of the Working Group: Our main goal is to coordinate the efforts and interests of ASLB pilots based at LGG and the newly opened base at CDG. This group will focus on maintaining an effective dialogue and joint work between these two groups, fostering a unified approach to our common challenges and opportunities.

Collaboration Methods: The group will primarily communicate via email exchanges and will organize regular video conferences, involving the SNPL when necessary. This approach ensures consistent and efficient communication across all parties.

Guidelines and Boundaries: It is imperative that our work remains focused on the well-being and interests of ASLB pilots at both LGG and CDG. To maintain the integrity and effectiveness of this group, all participants agree not to establish parallel communication channels that could undermine our cooperation. It’s also agreed that the SNPL will have this group as its main point of contact.

Management and Communication Structure: Each union retains the freedom to communicate freely about the group’s work to their affiliates. Similarly, BeCA will keep its members informed about the progress and developments of the group. This open communication policy ensures transparency for all ASLB pilots.

This working group marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to strengthen our voice and representation in the aviation industry, both locally and internationally. Your support and engagement in this initiative are crucial.

We encourage you to stay informed and involved. Should you have any questions, suggestions, or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

Cpt A. Vanalderweireldt

BeCA President.
