Important information for ASLB pilots joining ASL Gallia

Airline
Dear colleagues,
ASLB pilots are beginning to sign contracts with ASL Gallia, marking a critical step in the expansion of your airline within France.
Following discussions between BeCA and SNPL, both members of the European Cockpit Association (ECA), we have agreed key membership details to ensure continued support for our pilots during this transition. We strongly encourage all ASLB pilots transferring to ASL Gallia to maintain their BeCA membership for at least one more year. This decision will provide stability and consistent representation, as SNPL is not expected to hold social elections for the CSE for over a year.
During this transition, BeCA remains uniquely positioned to help you effectively. Should any issues arise in relation to French labour law, membership of the SNPL would provide immediate assistance through the ECA’s seamless membership system. This arrangement ensures that no pilot is left without support when they need it most, especially in legal matters.
Seamless membership explained: The Seamless Membership System provides uninterrupted representation and legal protection across national borders, with no waiting or probationary period when pilots change bases. When you move to a new association, your membership benefits, including legal support, continue without interruption. This ensures that any ongoing legal matters will continue to be handled by the association that originally approved the legal assistance, while any new legal matters arising after the transfer will be handled by your new association after the standard waiting period.
We trust that these arrangements will safeguard your interests and ensure a smooth transition to ASL Gallia.
Please do not hesitate to contact your BeCA representative if you have any questions or need further clarification.
Yours sincerely,
Cpt Alain Vanalderweireldt / BeCA President

Caroline Gillis / BeCA ASLB VP
