On 5 and 6 November, the German Pilots’ Association (VC) organised a workshop on pilot assistance programs. Alain Loiseau, the chairman of BeCA Working Group on Loss of Licence, attended this insightful meeting on behalf of BeCA. It was aimed at gathering information and best practices from all around the world. It was the occasion for us to get in touch with our colleagues to analyse the feasibility of creating such a program within BeCA. We believe that, given the increasing pressure on pilots and the recent EASA recommendations, it will be necessary sooner or later to implement such a program in Belgium. It would be much more powerful than more psychological testing of pilots. For some of you, this will be unique opportunities to become “part of the solution” as a pioneer actor of a program.
