In the past years, some airlines have started a new practice in the hiring of pilots: have young pilots pay for their own training hours. e.g. some pilots have had to pay up to 60 000 euro! This practice is unacceptable, given its potential consequences on the working conditions (some pilots cannot have access to a first experience because they don’t have money) and on safety.

We must stop this practice now! How? By convincing the European Commission to issue a new legislation prohibiting it. This is why the European Cockpit Association, together with SNPL France ALPA, started a new online petition that will be given to the European Commission. Sign this petition now!
