Performance based navigation
Performance Based Navigation (PBN) is now being implemented in many states and areas worldwide. IFALPA welcomes this development. However, several issues have come to light that must be addressed from an individual user, aircraft, procedural/regulatory, and air traffic system management level that must be harmonized and standardized. Protection from ionizing radiation
Despite the international recognition that cosmic radiation poses a workplace health risk to airline pilots, there is an immediate requirement for comprehensive research into all forms of radiation exposures of airline pilots.

Best practices in the High Seas Airspace
The common use of airspace and of certain facilities and services by civil and military aviation shall be arranged so as to ensure the safety, regularity and efficiency of civil aviation as well as to ensure that the requirements of military air operations are met. As airspace is a shared resource for civil and military aviation activities and the assurance of safety is paramount for all involved aviation stakeholders.

Implementation of Performance Based Separation Minima in the North Atlantic
