News from EAT/DHL – CF 2018-02

Cockpit Flash articles
The last months were very busy on the EAT/DHL front.
After months of negotiations, the Crew Sched- uling Agreement (CSA) for the Brussels Based pilots was finally signed in June by both Belgian and German managements.
The aim of this CSA 2018 is to update the existing CSA 2010. Combined with a future CLA 2018 (in progress), it will help to secure the current working conditions for the 8/6 “Belgian contracts”.
As written in our last Cockpit Flash, EAT management had initially announced an important expansion plan, including A330 and a possible phase out of the EAT B757 fleet in February.
In May, the introduction of three A330Fs was confirmed by higher management, followed by two additional A330F in August. The phase out of the EAT B757 fleet has been put on hold until Brexit situation is clarified for EAT’s sister company, DHL Air UK (23 B757s).
Times are changing fast within the company and the challenges are many (setting up long haul operations, introducing a new fleet, managing growth etc.).
In order to guarantee fair opportunities for all, it is essential that the Brussels Flight Crew Representatives work in close cooperation with the Leipzig Cockpit Crew Committee.
EAT is in an ascending phase of its history, and although it is great news, vigilance and cooperation will be a must for a successful and fair outcome.
Always Happy Landings!
