From 15 to 29 September, aircrews from all over Europe were invited to respond to a survey on crew employment. This survey, launched by the University of Ghent in cooperation with the European Commission, was aimed at gathering information to conduct an independent scientific study on atypical forms of employment in the aviation sector (contract pilots). A two-day conference will be held in Paris on 12-13 February 2015 to discuss the results of this study. We hope that this will help identify and reduce the threats to the pilot profession.
