BeCA Pilot Support Program (PSP) Workshop

Archives
The GW9525 flight tragedy reminded us about the potential distrastrous consequences of mental illnesses among pilots. Since then, some have recommended that stricter and random psychological assessment of pilots should be implemented. BeCA has always disagreed with the setting up of such evaluation and defended, instead, the implementation of pilot support programs (PSP) at company and association level. Some countries already have such systems into place and it is now time for BeCA to assess whether it is possible to put a PSP into place in Belgium. BeCA will therefore organise a PSP workshop on 18 October, to brainstorm with all relevant stakeholders about the possibilities to implement such a program in Belgium. We will keep you posted on the outcome of the conference.
