This first semester of 2016 has been a sad period for airport security and aviation safety and reminds us that we need to continue working to ensure both the passengers and the flying and ground staff are safe, on the ground and in the air. We would like, once more to express our sincerest condolences to the families of all the victms of terrorism and air accidents:

• 22 March – Terrorist Attacks in Brussels Airport, Belgium.
• 19 May – Egyptair flight MS804 accident
• 28 June – Terrorist attacks in Istanbul Airport, Turkey
