A word from your future Executive Assistant

Dear members,
It’s mid December, and all of us are getting ready for the end of the year’s celebrations. 2016 is coming soon, and for me a new challenge ahead!
Let me take the advantage of this Cockpit Flash to quickly introduce myself.
Holding a master’s degree in commercial sciences from a Brussels business school (ICHEC), I started my career at the end of the nineties in an international audit firm. Thereafter, I spent a few years as finance controller for 3 of the major pharmaceutical companies based in the Brussels area, took a long break to take care of my family (3 kids, a husband working shifts) before working as a recruitment consultant specialised in finance profiles.
But at the end of summer, I got wind of the possibility to join the BeCA team… Having a lot of interest for aviation and having witnessed and experienced very closely all the challenges and transformation of the industry since 2001 (my husband had been FO at Sabena), it was natural for me to apply!
And here we are with my new challenge! As from end of January, I will be very pleased to join BeCA. I look forward to working together with Simonne for a few months. Her help will be very much appreciated for a fruitful handover of her function. In the meantime, I already had the opportunity to attend a few Executive Committee meetings and got myself acquainted with some of the particular issues your representatives have to deal with.
Together with them, and with you, I will take to heart to work for BeCA to help defend your interests as Belgian pilots and contribute at a broader level to improving safety of this fantastic aviation industry!
I wish you all and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
See you next year!
