TUIFly Belgium Update – CF 2018-1

Cockpit Flash articles
Dear TUIfly Pilots,
2017 allowed us to further improve the social dialogue within our company. We were able to establish a constructive approach on different topics and achieved some important goals, improvement of the LOL insurance, baremic restitution, implementation of new part-time systems,…
Of course, there is still a lot of work, our focus for this year will be the conditions of new FOs and the work life balance for our pilots, which remain a hot topic: improvement is needed.
The consolidation of the FSAG (Fatigue Safety Action Group) and the cooperation with TUI NL is also a priority. Often pilots tell me they don’t report fatigue because they think it does not change anything. I can assure you that the Safety Office carefully analyses all fatigue reports and with these reports, recommendations are issued via the FSAG to mitigate fatigue. So don’t hesitate anymore, report, report, report!
During February and March negotiations about pay will be ongoing, we’ll keep you updated!
2018 will again be a year of challenge for our company and for us as pilots: the further expansion, the introduction of the Boeing 737 MAX and the Reduced OCC (Mixed Company Flying), will bring their share of issues to handle.
