Unruly Passengers
Please read the final version of the manual for the prosecution of unruly passengers by the public prosecutor’s office in Halle-Vilvoorde, in both Dutch and English.
The present manual is aimed at providing information to crew members of airline companies regarding the prosecution of unruly passengers on board aircraft operating from and to EBBR and pax boarding at Brussels Airport.
The manual provides a brief description of the unruly conduct that is liable to punishment in Belgium and the conduct the Public Prosecutor considers a priority for criminal prosecution.
It also contains a number of instructions for crew members when they report unruly passengers. If completed correctly, the simplified report form makes filing a report very easy.
The manual also contains a brief description of what will happen after a report is filed, and the way in which unruly passengers are prosecuted.
Finally, the position of the victim in a criminal case is explained and the crew members receive some practical information in case they become a victim themselves.
