Both theoretical knowledge and practical skills need to be maintained (for sometimes a long waiting period). The Working Group therefore focuses on different aspects:

•  Theory rehearsal sessions:

Inviting a guest speaker/expert (FO & Cpt flying for major companies) to give a presentation, review and answer questions on various aviation related subjects (e.g.: meteorology, aircraft performance, aerodynamics, IFR procedures etc.)
Target: ad-hoc briefings, tailored approach in case of known airline selections

• Airline selection preparation:

Sessions on how to prepare a good CV and motivation letter, how to prepare for an interview and providing information on psycho technical and senso motoric testing.

• Simulator provisioning:
  • Necessity to be able to maintain high level flying skills for start of type rating
  • BeCA has agreed a partnership with Skywings in Antwerp. All BeCA members who want to rent Skywings FNPTII certified DA42NG simulator will be granted a €50 reduction on the DA42 conversion course. You will then be allowed to self-hire the DA42 simulator at a very attractive price.
