On 7 December, the European Commission presented their new aviation package. Although it recognises the strategic value of aviation in Europe, it fails to promote concrete measures on the social dimension of air transport. All stakeholders had already sent a strong message to the European Commission in June in this regard, urging them to tackle the issues of atypical forms of employment, social dumping and flags of convenience.
